Then RSVP on Facebook (by selecting “Going”) for this 2-hour Intro to Coding class happening in San Jose / South Bay area at Hacker Dojo. Learn the basics of programming, do hands-on exercises, and meet new people. All for free!
The class is being taught by MakerSquare, which runs some of the top coding schools in the country.
Class officially starts at 6:30pm, but please arrive at Hacker Dojo by 6:15pm to mingle with your fellow classmates and settle in. We will end at 9pm, with the last 30 minutes being an optional Q&A session.
What will I learn during the class?
This beginner level class will contain several instructor-guided exercises. The class will cover the following topics:
1. Overview of programming
2. Intro to data & data structures
3. Basics of functions
We ask that you read the Prerequisites section (https://github.com/mks-class/intro–coding/blob/master/environment.org) before the start of class and bring your own laptop (Windows, Mac or Linux) with Google Chrome installed.
What is MakerSquare San Jose?
We have campuses all over the country, and are excited to be opening a campus in San Jose. The free Intro to Coding class is to introduce more people to the wonderful world of programming and to get the community excited about the launch of our full-time class in San Jose in July 2016!
