January 20, 2016 at Envision Academy For Arts & Technology in Oakland.
Join the Alameda County Paul Robeson Chapter to celebrate our impact as ACLU activists and learn about what we can do to continue the fight.
This event is free of charge. Refreshments will be provided!
We’ll hear from Adam Kruggel, Organizing Director at PICO, about the successful campaign to crack down on racial profiling and what comes next. We’ll honor Lateefah Simon, Program Director for the Rosenberg Foundation, with the Grover Dye Activism Award, for her initiative and perseverance in strengthening civil rights and civil liberties. And you’ll have the opportunity to meet other ACLU members and learn how you can make a difference in 2016.
