May 13, 2016 at Direct Action Everywhere House in Oakland.
7pm – onwards: Workparty and snackluck
Join us in working for animals, introducing new activists to DxE’s work, and enjoying great food (bring a dish if you can). And bring a friend if you can! If you are unfamiliar with DxE and would appreciate an informal orientation discussion, please come at 6:30pm. Otherwise, come at 7pm.
We will be working on a variety of projects:
– laminating placards
– folding leaflets
– making banners for the April Day of Action
– preparations for the DxE forum in May
– subtitling and translating videos
– organizing the blog archive
– helping with social media
There will also be opportunities for you to help all of our other working groups — everything from tech to legal to press!
Regardless of whether you’re most interested in improving a particular skill set–such as photography, writing, tech, etc.–learning a new skill, or doing general volunteer work (e.g., folding leaflets), please come and help out!

The DxE House is in a safe and extremely convenient neighborhood. But please do not leave your bikes locked outside later in the evening. Bring them upstairs!
