About Paul Boden:
Paul became homeless at the age of 16. He began volunteering at Hospitality House in 1983, eventually becoming a program director there. Paul served as Executive Director of SF’s Coalition on Homelessness for 16 years, was a founder of CHP, and went on to become Executive and Organizing Director of the Western Regional Advocacy Project (WRAP), which works to expose and eliminate the root causes of civil and human rights abuses of people experiencing poverty and homelessness in communities across the Western US.
Concrn is a compassionate social service network that provides crisis response, street outreach, and case management for neighbors in need challenged by homelessness, mental illness, and substance use.
Inspired by the work of CAHOOTS — a 26-year old program of the White Bird Clinic in Eugene, Oregon — we are dedicated to providing caring crisis support. We believe that this “Compassionate Response” model is more humane, harm-reducing, and cost-effective than a law enforcement approach to non-violent crises.
