“Petals in the Dust is a masterpiece of documentary filmmaking. It is an absolute must-see. It will catalyze and strengthen many more initiatives on behalf of the female gender.” – Don Schwarz, author and film critic.
In honor of the 50 million girls and women that were eliminated in the last century in India, the filmmakers hope to have at least one million people view the film this year. Petals in the Dust has screened at festivals, non-profit organizations, human rights groups and universities and we are proud to see the impact the film has had on audiences.
“Petals in the Dust” is a feature-length documentary about the escalating gender discrimination and violence in India and in the Indian diaspora in the US and Canada. The film premiered at the San Francisco Doc. Festival in June last year and also won Best Documentary Film at the SF Global M
