SHABBAT at the SF SYMPHONY

On Friday, September 16th, 2016 Adam Swig and DjWizard present “Shabbat at the Symphony” at Davies Symphony Hall, San Francisco. Let’s break some challah and kiddush with complimentary wine from VinAtlas, plus light nosh in the VIP Green Room at Davies Symphony Hall prior to Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony’s performance of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
– Private reception at the Green Room.
– Full San Francisco Symphony orchestra plays Beethoven’s 5th Symphony.
– Shabbat int the Green Room, with challah and nosh.
– Backstage tour of the San Francisco Symphony
– And, of course, evening dresses, suite and ties, and Jewish young adult socializing.
7pm-8pm: Shabbat service at the Green Room.
8pm-10pm: SF Symphony plays Beethoven’s 5th Symphony
Symphony intermission: Food and wine at the Green Room.
10pm-11pm: Socializing after the Symphony with food and wine
ENTRANCE FROM GREEN ROOM ENTRACNE ONLY.
Green Room is located downstairs, at the other end from the main entrance. (please see attached map) at the corner of Hayes and Van Ness.
Suggested: No jeans, dress shirts, tie optional, evening attire.
However, no one will be turned away because of the clothes.

The San Francisco Symphony (SFS), founded in 1911, is an orchestra based in San Francisco, California. Since 1980, the orchestra has performed at the Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall in the City’s Hayes Valley neighborhood. Its current music director is Michael Tilson Thomas, who has held the position since September 1995.
